Minecraft server as a clubhouse

Concept

A Minecraft server designed like a private clubhouse, not a game.

Access is social, not algorithmic. Identity and reputation matter more than mechanics.

Rough characteristics

  • Invite-based or referral-based access
  • Persistent characters across seasons
  • No global resets unless culturally justified
  • Light governance, but real consequences
  • Minimal plugins, maximal social memory

What this is not

  • Not a minigame server
  • Not a content SMP
  • Not an RPG
  • Not optimized for player count

Why it might work

People stay in places where: - their presence is noticed - their absence is felt - their history matters

Why it might fail

  • Doesn’t scale
  • Hard to onboard
  • Relies on culture more than systems

This may never exist. That’s fine.
