Completed OSHA-30 and CompTIA Network+
2026-02-11
I recently completed my OSHA 30 certification. Why, you just got the 10 hour?
Because OSHA 30 isn't about being qualified to do work. It's about risk management. Again it alligns with my broader goals of understanding:
- what can go wrong,
- why it goes wrong,
- and how to avoid preventable failures.
All key in my long term goal of a being in a Risk Systems-esque role at a Quant Finance firm. Whether it be fiscal-risk, legal-risk, cyber-risk, or physical-risk; understanding risk systems across multiple systems build breadth within depth.
I also passed my CompTIA Network+. Why you aren't even trying for IT?
Again baseline proof I know networks and how data flows throughout systems. That is especially keen in understanding risk-metrics in fast-paced regulated environments.
